Juvenile Victim-Offender Mediation

Juvenile Victim-Offender is a process that seeks to bring healing as well as justice when a juvenile has broken the law and done either personal or property damage to another.

While often coming as a requirement of a juvenile court order, this process can also take place outside of the court system.

The hope and goal of the mediation is to allow the offender the chance to apologize and create/restore a less tense relationship with the victim as well as allow the victim to be somewhat restored to the position that he/she was in before the incident by service and/or other financial offerings.

Juvenile Victim-Offender Mediation In the grand scheme of things, the hope is that the juvenile offender sees the consequences of bad behavior and then has a change of mind and heart about the seriousness of delinquent acts.
